Training for Law Enforcement,
Fire, EMS, or Disaster Response Teams.
Law Enforcement Trauma Care (LETC)
LETC is a tactical medical course designed to prepare officers to perform self-aid, respond to officer-down incidents, or to other casualties involving major hemorrhage or penetrating injury to chest or abdomen. The training is based on TECC guidelines and is presented in the context of an active-threat environment with significant focus on preparation, tactics, and reality-based training techniques.
Officers are not required to have any prior medical training to participate. LETC training involves a high degree of “hands-on” activities and employs reality-based training techniques. Register for an ATTC course on the side bar calendar or Click here to contact ATS about training options.
Disclaimer: Our active-bleeding training devices are breathtakingly realistic and simulate actual traumatic injuries and major hemorrhage. Trainees should wear clothes that can get dirty, allow movement, and be exposed to training blood. Physical activity is included in the training, including kneeling, lying on the floor, and the manipulation of casualties. Officers should bring their duty-belt to the training but will need to secure ALL weapons outside of the training area. Training will be conducted using inert training weapons.
LETC Presents:
- Preparation
- LE response tactics
- Casualty movement skills
- Casualty assessment skills
- Hemorrhage control skills
- Airway management
- Penetrating injury to chest or abdomen
- Course features active-bleeding task trainers
- Course includes reality-based LE exercises
Why officers need tactical medical training?
If an officer you injured or on scene during an officer-down scenario, YOU are a first responder. What you do or don’t do in the minutes following a traumatic injury can mean the difference between life and death. Traditional first-aid training and kits are not sufficient to address active threats, major hemorrhage, or chest penetrations. Tactical medical training by ATS will provide you with the skills and tools you need to save yourself or another officer when things go bad.
Why train with Active Threat Solutions?
ATS training is not like others because we specialize in reality-based training that provides you access to the tactics, skills, and tools used by military & law enforcement operators. Our instructors deliver dynamic & power-packed training featuring visual learning, hands-on skills training, breathtakingly-real active-bleeding task-trainers, and reality-based scenario exercises.
